Fourth consecutive pole at Suzuka for Verstappen

Max Verstappen takes an incredible pole position at the Japanese Grand Prix with a stunning time of 1:26.983, achieving his fourth consecutive pole position at this circuit. Lando Norris will start from second position, while his teammate, Oscar Piastri, will start third.

In the first part of qualifying, we bid farewell to Hülkenberg, Bearman, Ocon, Doohan, and Stroll, who will start from last place. During this session, Isack Hadjar experienced numerous issues in the cockpit of his car, the same problem he had already encountered in the final practice session of the weekend. Despite this, he managed to advance to Q3 and post an incredible qualifying performance ahead of tomorrow's race.
During this stage, the top eight cars were separated by a narrow gap of just 0.281 thousandths of a second, reflecting the tightness of qualifying. Furthermore, Liam Lawson advanced to Q2 for the first time this season at the wheel of the Racing Bulls, marking a significant step forward in his performance.
In the second part of qualifying, we bid farewell to Liam Lawson, who, despite missing out on Q3, managed to finish one position ahead of Yuki Tsunoda. Also eliminated were Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, and Fernando Alonso, who failed to make it into the top ten for the final round of qualifying.
A very impressive performance by the three rookies: Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman who managed to break into the top 10 with a Haas and Isack Hadjar, who also reached Q3 with his Racing Bulls. The three young talents demonstrated a high level and made a statement in this qualifying session.

Max Verstappen, despite dealing with a difficult car, managed to put in an incredible lap that gave him pole position with a stunning time of 1:26.983. This marks his fourth consecutive pole at the Suzuka circuit and also breaks a streak of 11 races without starting from the pole position: his last pole was in Austria last year.

Lando Norris took second place, just 0.012 thousandths of a second behind Verstappen, while Oscar Piastri secured third place on the grid. Qualifying was thrilling from start to finish.
